SOIL MISSION

Our company is committed to the long-term maintenance of the soil's productivity. A significant part of our soil is forest soil, but we also farm on grassland and arable land. We do not replace the nutrient content of soils artificially, but use natural solutions instead.

Soil ventilation

Ventilation the soil is a horticultural solution that we have been using successfully for years in forestry and agro-forestry conditions. Our soils are very compact, basically of river sediment origin (loamy and clayey soils, with medium or poor N content). During soil ventilation, 30-50 bar air is injected into the soil at a depth of 0.8-1.0 meters, in a 3x3 meter network, which completely aerates the soil. This procedure is an excellent water retention and soil loosening technology. Its forest application is almost unknown. In the years following care, our oak trees are able to develop 1.5 meters of new growth every year.

Starwheel care

The bent starwheel care is a Hungarian invention, with which only the rows are cared for, the trees themselves remain untouched, and the weeds can be completely removed. Starwheel maintenance is very cheap because the tractor needs very little energy to pull it. We can work precisely with the machine even a few centimeters from the trees under the rows. In the part between the rows, we leave the weeds above, only breaking the stems to minimize evaporation loss. We adapt technologies used in viticulture, horticulture, and agriculture in our forestry and agro-forestry systems.

Hole drilling with robot

Previously, we used an excavator to make the holes for planting. After complete soil preparation and deep loosening, we also planted seedlings with planting machine. These are very expensive solutions in forestry. No soil preparation is required before planting with the robot. The robot can drill holes very quickly and very accurately (based on GPS coordinates). Place the seedlings in the holes, press them down and you're done. We irrigate and ventilate the soil.

Irrigation in forest conditions

Irrigation is a little-known technology in forestry, even though trees need water very much in the first stage of their life. We use water-retaining tillage techniques and actively irrigate wherever we can. Our innovative irrigation solution in some of our plantations is the sub-soil micro irrigation system, which is an almost unique technical solution in the world.
